Employee Spotlight: Aimee Thornton

For our next employee spotlight, we will be showcasing Aimee Thornton, a Customer Experience Manager (CEM) of two years. Truly a ray of sunshine, Aimee brightens everyone’s day with her funny remarks and entertaining stories. She’s a pro at cornhole/bags, is a fantastic mother, a welcoming friend to all of Team Paapri, and a huge nurturer of the Paapri flower. She, and the rest of the CEM team, are instrumental to the growth and success of this company.

With that introduction, let’s hear from her:

What did you do prior to working at Paapri, and why did you decide to join?

In the past, I’ve been a server, Customer Service Rep, Data Entry, etc. I wanted to challenge myself and do something out of my comfort zone. Also, knowing Paapri was a startup company at the time, I wanted to be part of something big and knew I had the mindset to bring ideas to the table. Having previously met the co-workers I would be working with, as well as knowing I had the leadership team behind me, I felt, and still feel, genuinely supported and encouraged.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the team collaboration! My department has weekly brainstorming sessions to discuss ways we can streamline our processes to make them more efficient. I also love the relationships I have made with the consultants in India! We talk on a daily basis, not just about work, but also on a personal level.

How have you grown as a person since you started working here?

I have been challenged in ways that I never have been before. Being in the role I am—Customer Experience Manager—I have become more confident, organized, and assertive. I have learned that my voice matters and I am able to provide insightful ideas and suggestions.

What do you do in your free time?

I love spending time with my husband and my children. I also enjoy reading, coloring (haha, I know it’s silly!), and spending time outdoors.

What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?

I am obsessed with True Crime Documentaries/Docuseries, as well as psychological thriller movies and shows. This probably stems from the career path I wanted to take after high school, which was Forensic Psychology. I wanted to study and learn the “why, what, and when” of the people who commit these types of crimes, and the “red flags” they exhibit.

While some may think it is a “red flag” that Aimee is obsessed with True Crime documentaries, I hope you got a better feel for the people that make this team #awesome.
